Ohio Work Ready Scholarships & Grants

The Ohio Work Ready Grant provides funding to Ohio residents with the highest levels of financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Eligible students must be enrolled in a qualified program at Clark State College.


No application is required. Eligible students are automatically considered based on FAFSA information and program eligibility.

Degree-Seeking Students

Students enrolled in eligible degree programs may receive up to the following amounts per academic year:

9-11 credit hours per term

 5 or fewer credit hours per term

Up to $2,000

Short-Term Certificate Students

Students enrolled in eligible short-term certificate or industry-recognized credential programs may receive:

  • Up to $2,000 per academic year.
  • Students who complete multiple eligible short-term certificates or industry-recognized credential programs during the same academic year may receive up to $3,000 total.

Technician-Aligned Program Students

Students enrolled in eligible technician-aligned programs may qualify for increased award amounts:

Quarter-Time

 Up to $1,500

Students enrolled in eligible technician-aligned short-term certificate or industry-recognized credential programs may receive:

  • Up to $3,000 per program.
  • Students completing multiple eligible programs during the academic year may receive up to $6,000 total.
  • Funding is limited to $3,000 per academic term for no more than six academic terms.
