Auditions held for “Peter and the Starcatcher” production
Clark State College will hold auditions for its theatre arts program production of “Peter and the Starcatcher,” a Tony Award-winning play that reimagines the origins of Peter Pan, at 7 p.m. on Sept. 1, at the Clark State Performing Arts Center, 300 S. Fountain Ave. Callbacks will occur at 7 p.m. on Sept. 2. Co-presented with Springfield Arts Council, auditions are open to the public.
Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, “Peter and the Starcatcher” follows Molly, an orphan, and her new friend as they embark on an adventure involving pirates, heroes, villains and a mysterious substance known as “starstuff.” The production will be produced by Maggie Cooper, Clark State PAC house operations manager, and directed by Krissy Hartman, executive director of the Springfield Arts Council.
Individuals who wish to audition should prepare a one- to two-minute monologue and be prepared to sing. A headshot and resume are preferred. Reserve an audition spot at go.clarkstate.edu/peterauditions.
