Binkley named to Forty Under 40
The Dayton Business Journal will honor Travis Binkley, Ed.D., assistant vice president of enrollment services at Clark State College, as a member of the 2026 Forty Under 40 class during a recognition ceremony on May 14.
The Forty Under 40 Awards recognize the region’s emerging business leaders for professional success and community involvement.
At Clark State, Binkley co-led several major institutional initiatives including the college’s strategic enrollment management plan, the One Front Door model that integrated academic credit and professional certification, and implementation of the college’s customer relationship management system. In his role, he oversees key student-facing areas including admissions and career services, academic advising, College Credit Plus, financial aid and records and registration. He has also served as a mentor for students in the college’s Scholars programs.
During his tenure, Clark State experienced significant enrollment growth for three consecutive spring semesters, reflecting a sustained focus on student access, retention and success.
Dawayne Kirkman, Ph.D., senior vice president of student affairs, enrollment management and regional locations, nominated Binkley for the honor.
“I have witnessed his journey from beginning his postsecondary education at a community college to earning a doctorate,” Kirkman said. “Travis deeply understands the student pathway and consistently gives back, both in leadership and in meaningful ways that make a lasting impact on students and colleagues.”
Binkley said he was honored to be recognized among the year’s honorees.
“This achievement reflects the support of mentors, colleagues and students who inspired me to make a meaningful impact,” he said.
