Kevin Rose appointed to Clark State Board of Trustees
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has appointed Kevin Rose, Springfield resident, to the Clark State College Board of Trustees effective July 10.
Rose succeeds Andy Bell of Springfield, a retired principal of Brower Insurance. His term expires Nov. 30.
“We are grateful to Andy Bell for his dedicated service and steady leadership on the Board,” said Sharon Evans, Board chair. “Andy has been a thoughtful advocate for Clark State, our students and the communities we serve. We sincerely appreciate the time, insight and commitment he brought to the college.”
“We are also pleased to welcome Kevin Rose,” Evans continued. “Kevin brings a deep appreciation of history, community engagement and regional partnerships to the Board. His commitment to preserving our community's heritage while helping shape its future reflects the kind of collaborative leadership and community perspective that will help Clark State continue to create opportunities for students and strengthen our region.”
Rose serves as executive director of the Hartman Rock Garden, where he leads the preservation and operation of one of Ohio's most distinctive cultural landmarks. He also serves as historian for the Turner Foundation, overseeing initiatives in preservation and tourism that support the revitalization of Springfield.
Previous Ohio Humanities Board chair and national president of the Victorian Society, he earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Wittenberg University and a master’s in interpretive studies from the University of Leicester.
“I am honored to be appointed to the Clark State Board of Trustees,” said Rose. “Clark State has a long history of changing lives through education and serving as an essential partner to our communities and employers. I look forward to working alongside my fellow trustees and college leadership to help build on that legacy.”
Clark State's Trustees are appointed by DeWine and oversee the governance and operations of the college.
