Nina Wiley, assistant vice president of student affairs at Clark State College, has been named the Board chair of Mercy Health-Springfield, for a two-year term.

Mercy Health-Springfield serves Clark and Champaign counties in Ohio, offering hospital care, outpatient services, specialty care and community outreach. Wiley has been a Board member since 2020, following the opening of Mercy Health’s clinic on Clark State’s Leffel Lane campus in fall 2019.

“What makes this Board special is the diversity of experience across business and industry,” Wiley said. “We truly lean into one another and that collaboration strengthens our ability to serve our community and advance the mission of Mercy Health.”

Adam Groshans, president of Mercy Health - Springfield, praised Wiley’s leadership.

“Nina’s commitment to the hospital Board reflects the very best of leadership – grounded in compassion, driven by purpose and guided by an unwavering commitment to our community,” he said. “Her insight and advocacy help ensure decisions are made with excellence and equity at the forefront.”

Wiley previously served two years as vice-chair of the Mercy Health Board.

“I lead with compassion and a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that health care extends far beyond the walls of the hospital,” said Wiley. “It’s about connecting people with resources, supporting mental health and ensuring every individual is treated with dignity and respect.”
