The Clark State Performing Arts Center will welcome acclaimed pianist and singer-songwriter Vienna Teng to the Kuss Auditorium stage at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 9.
Teng, celebrated for her lush melodies and thought-provoking lyrics, will perform selections from her new EP “We’ve Got You,” along with favorites spanning her two-decade career. Since the release of her breakthrough debut album “Waking Hour” in 2002, Teng has earned national recognition with appearances on NPR’s Weekend Edition, “The Late Show with David Letterman” and the top of Amazon’s music charts.
Joining Teng for the evening is special guest Alex Wong, a Latin Grammy-nominated artist and producer whose work has been featured in “The Lincoln Lawyer,” “True Blood” and “The Last Song.”
This performance will be part of Club Kuss, a one-of-a-kind concert experience that offers theatre patrons a small audience setting with seating close to the stage and complimentary desserts before the show.
“Vienna Teng’s artistry combines classical training with modern storytelling, creating an experience that is both intimate and powerful,” said Dan Hunt, general manager of the Clark State Performing Arts Center. “We are thrilled to share her music with our community in this special Club Kuss format.”
Tickets are $20 or $10 for students with a college ID. Seats are limited for this one-night-only performance.
