CCP Eligible Courses
The State of Ohio determines which courses qualify for College Credit Plus and can be funded through the program. For complete information on all State of Ohio College Credit Plus course eligibility requirements, view the CCP Course Eligibility Summary on the Ohio Higher Education website.
Eligible courses are organized into Level I and Level II categories.
Level I Courses
Level I courses are designed for students who have not yet completed the minimum of 15 transferable credit hours. Students must complete at least 15 credit hours of Level I courses — sometimes called the “First 15” — before progressing to Level II courses.
Courses may include:
- Transferable course: Transfer 36 (T36), Transfer Assurance Guide (TAG) or Career-Technical Assurance Guide (CTAG) courses
- Courses in computer science, information technology, anatomy, physiology or foreign language, including American Sign Language
- Technical certificate courses
- 15-credit or 30-credit hour model pathway courses
- Study skills, academic or career success courses
Level II Courses
Once students have completed their 15 Level I credit hours, they may enroll in additional eligible courses, known as Level II courses. These courses allow students to explore more advanced topics and continue building toward certificates, associate degrees or bachelor’s programs. Enrollment in Level II courses is subject to course availability and prerequisites.
