Overview

Curious how a criminal justice degree can open doors in policing and public safety? The law enforcement track of the criminal justice program prepares you to serve in a variety of law enforcement roles. The program emphasizes criminal law, patrol operations, forensic science, criminal investigation, police administration and community relations, along with courses in social justice, cybersecurity, communication, psychology and chemical dependency. Those who have completed an OPOTA-approved basic peace officer academy may defer eight courses, with credit applied upon successful academy completion.
