Ready to explore how cutting-edge mapping and sensor technologies are revolutionizing crop production? The precision agriculture program prepares you for modern, technology-driven roles in the agricultural service industry by building skills in soil science, plant pests, precision ag systems, remote sensing, applied GIS, and agricultural data analysis. Through hands-on coursework, drone and sensor technologies, co-op experiences and training in equipment management, you’ll learn to support key industry practices such as pest scouting, site-specific pesticide application, yield mapping and variable-rate irrigation. You’ll be ready for a career with companies using GPS, GIS and other precision tools to enhance agricultural production and management using data-driven decision-making.
