Want to become the go-to expert for maintaining and troubleshooting high-tech farm equipment? The precision agriculture technician program prepares you for technical roles in the agricultural service industry, combining essential agronomy knowledge with specialized training in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems and precision ag technology. Through coursework in soil science, plant pests, applied precision ag systems and equipment troubleshooting, you’ll gain the skills to operate, maintain and repair the machinery and systems that keep modern farms running efficiently. Co-op experiences, advanced precision ag classes and equipment maintenance labs provide real-world practice with GPS-guided machinery, sensors and controllers, equipping you to enter the workforce as a skilled technician in dealerships, service companies and agricultural technology operations.
