Overview
How can you turn your compassion for others into a meaningful career? The social work assistant program centers on the principles of social work grounded in human behavior, cultural understanding, mental health and chemical dependency. You’ll build the knowledge and communication skills needed to support diverse populations in settings such as children’s services, addiction treatment, juvenile services, public assistance and developmental disability agencies. A 420-hour practicum places you in a local social service agency, giving you supervised, real-world experience that employers value.
