Phi Theta Kappa
Stand Out. Go Further. Join Phi Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for community college students, and membership is all about recognizing your hard work—and helping you turn it into real opportunities by opening doors to scholarships, leadership opportunities and long-term success.
At Clark State, the Alpha Nu Lambda chapter of Phi Theta Kappa connects students to scholarships, leadership experiences and a national network designed to support academic growth, transfer goals and career advancement! PTK is built on four core values-- scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship—and it’s designed to support students at every stage of their educational and career journey.
With 90 percent of the $85 membership fee covered by Clark State, joining PTK costs just $8.50 for lifetime access to PTK benefits and resources focused on personal and professional growth.
How Much Time Does PTK Take?
That’s up to you. Some members choose to be highly involved in leadership and service projects, while others participate minimally and still enjoy the full benefits of membership. There are no required service hours to remain a member and chapters do not withhold benefits based on participation.
However, greater involvement often leads to stronger scholarship recommendations and more impactful experiences, allowing you to get even more out of your membership. Bottom line: if you’re excelling academically and looking for scholarships, recognition, leadership development and a competitive edge for what’s next, Phi Theta Kappa is for you.
