Mercy Health Clinic
The Mercy Health Springfield Primary Care Clinic, located on the first floor of the Applied Science Center on the Springfield main campus, provides convenient, professional medical care for students, faculty, staff and the community. Staffed by a nurse practitioner and nurses, the clinic offers comprehensive primary care services in a comfortable setting.
Clinic Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Friday: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The clinic provides:
- Primary care services
- Prescriptions
- Immunizations
- Acute illness treatment
- Basic in-office testing
- Wellness exams
Five Visits Are Already Covered!
Your student health service fee is included in your tuition each semester, giving all students access to care right here on main campus! Each school year, students receive five clinic visits. These visits include basic in-office testing such as:
- Strep testing
- Flu testing
- Pregnancy testing
As well as one wellness visit per year including:
- Basic health, wellness and vision screening
- Health risk appraisal/questionnaire
- Blood pressure reading
- Body mass index (BMI) calculation
- Basic lab testing (cholesterol and blood sugar)
- Review and education of results
- Annual flu shot
All Clark State students must present their student ID at the time of each visit.
After six total visits in a year, the student’s insurance will be billed. If uninsured, a fee-for-service option is available and qualifies for a 40 percent prompt-pay discount consistent with Mercy Health’s fee schedule.
