Overview

What if you could play a vital role in patient care without working directly on the clinical side? The medical office administration program prepares you to excel in a variety of medical settings, including physicians’ offices, hospitals and nursing homes. You’ll gain expertise in medical terminology, coding, insurance processing, electronic health records and HIPAA regulations, while developing strong human relations and communication skills essential for interacting with patients and healthcare teams. The program includes a co-op internship preparing you for roles such as medical office administrator, billing coordinator or patient services specialist — and laying the foundation for advancement into medical office management.
