Overview
How far could you go by expanding your skills in cardiac imaging? The cross-training echocardiography certificate is designed for credentialed sonographers who want to add expertise in echocardiography. You’ll build knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathology while learning to perform echocardiograms that help physicians diagnose and monitor heart conditions. Instruction combines online coursework with hands-on lab experience, preparing you to confidently apply advanced imaging skills in a clinical setting.
Note: Students must be employed as a sonographer (or have program coordinator approval) and hold an active ARDMS or CCI (RVS) credential. Program coordinator approval is required for admission. Completion of this certificate does not guarantee eligibility for echocardiography credentialing.
