Overview

Ready to build on your firefighter training and expand your skills? The firefighter certificate is a 120-hour program designed to advance the knowledge and abilities of those who have completed the 36-hour firefighter, volunteer certificate. You gain hands-on experience in interior live fire operations, vehicle extrication and advanced use of personal protective equipment and SCBA. The curriculum also covers ventilation, rope care, salvage and overhaul, ground ladders and the 16 Life Safety Initiatives, along with Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO) training, including eight hours of documented driving practice and Hazardous Materials Operations level certification.

Accredited: The Firefighter program is accredited by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Services, Division of Fire Services.
