Laser Machining Technical Certificate

Laser Machining Technical Certificate

This program is available at the Springfield - Leffel Lane location.

Laser machining processes are a quick, lower cost way of cutting, etching, or marking materials, as compared to other methods. Developing an intuition for part machining allows for a reduction in errors and allows for parts to be manufactured more accurately. Students will demonstrate an understanding of how to operate machines conducting these processes, and the associated physics.

Certificate programs are designed for those students who seek to enhance their job-related skills in a specialized area. These certificates are typically a portion of the coursework in one of the associate degree programs. Coursework Included in this certificate program can be applied towards Laser Material Processing and Manufacturing Engineering Technology associate degrees.
