We are pleased to partner with school districts throughout Ohio in the College Credit Plus program! College Credit Plus provides high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while completing their high school program.

CCP is a way for students to earn college credits and start a collegiate transcript which may help them towards a future degree while at the same time earning credits towards high school graduation. This program has been designed to help students find a more financially sound path to getting a higher education degree. They will also gain experience of being in the collegiate classroom setting for the first time which may give them valuable insights on the significant difference between a college and high school setting. If you are interested in partnering with Clark State, please contact a College Credit Plus advisor.

Flexible College Course Formats

Application Instructions for Instructors

If you have qualified instructors who would like to provide your students with the rigor of a college course, please consider getting involved in our College Credit Plus program.

High school teachers must submit the following information in order to be considered as a CCP adjunct instructor at Clark State. All materials must be emailed to your College Credit Plus advisor.

  • Download and complete the Teacher and Course Request form. Please be sure to include a “Proposed Course” to ensure evaluation of appropriate content level.
  • Provide undergraduate- and graduate-level college transcripts from all previously attended institutions. Copies of transcripts and transcripts forwarded from the teacher’s secondary school are acceptable.
  • Provide a current resume.

All information will be kept confidential and submitted to the appropriate division dean for review. All decisions will be communicated back in a timely manner.

Once the high school teacher has been approved as a volunteer adjunct instructor, Clark State will provide a syllabus that will be used in the high school course. The department coordinator will meet with the high school instructor to ensure all assessments and course learning objectives will be met in the course, as well as ensure the textbook is appropriate for the course. After this discussion and all expectations are agreed upon, the course will then be offered for student enrollment.
