International Student Admission

New Students - Students currently living in their home country.

Submit all documents together to internationalstudents@clarkstate.edu.

  • International Student Application. Be sure that your name on your application is spelled the same as your name in your passport.
  • Copy of Passport: Pages with identification information and expiration date.
  • Proof of Graduation from high school. Official diploma or certificate from each high school translated in English.
  • Evidence of English Language proficiency. Applicants must present evidence of their level of English language proficiency. To demonstrate this proficiency, applicants must submit satisfactory results on one of the following tests, which was taken within the last two years, or meet one of the following criteria:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): 60 on the Internet-based test or 500 on the paper-based test
    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 5.0
    • Duolingo: 80
    • English is the applicant’s native language
    • Official transcripts from a previous U.S. college or university showing a grade C or better in college/university level English courses. This does not include English as a Second Language.
    • Please note: Regardless of Duolingo, TOEFL or IELTS scores, all new students are required to take the ACCUPLACER placement assessment upon arrival at Clark State College.
  • Evidence of financial support.
    • You and your sponsor(s) must complete the Statement of Financial Support, which states that there are sufficient funds available to cover your educational and living expenses, estimated at $25,200 per year.
    • Your sponsor MUST also provide current financial documentation, such as bank statements, employment/salary letters, tax returns, etc. The documentation must be less than six months old, include the sponsor’s name and signed by the appropriate bank or government official.

Transfer Students - Students transferring from another U.S. institution.

Submit all documents together to internationalstudents@clarkstate.edu.

  • All of the above documents.
  • Copies of current and all previous I-20s.
  • Copy of VISA.
  • Official transcripts from any U.S. college or university attended.

Concurrent Students - Students concurrently enrolled at their U.S. home institution and Clark State College.

Submit all documents together to internationalstudents@clarkstate.edu.

  • International Student Application. Be sure that your name on your application is spelled the same as your name in your passport.
  • Copy of your current I-20 (pages 1 and 2).
  • Copy of your VISA.
  • Transcript. Must submit transcript from current U.S. college or university.

Please note: If your transcript does not show the necessary course prerequisite(s), you may not receive approval to register for a specific course.
