Fruits & Veggies: Half Your Plate & Build Strong Bones

The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is offering a FREE series of 6 workshops. The workshops last 60 minutes each and are done in small groups.

You will receive a take home tool each class and graduation certificate upon completing the series! If you attend at least 5 of the 6 workshops you will also receive a blender!

Lesson 3: Fruits & Veggies: Half Your Plate & Build Strong Bones

  • Participants increase the amount and variety of fruits and vegetables they eat every day
  • Participants make half their plates fruits and vegetables
  • Participants get enough calcium from low-fat or non-fat dairy foods or other foods high in calcium
  • Educational Enhancement – Produce brush and MyPlate magnet
