The entire Clark State College community mourns the loss of Greene County Sheriff Gene Fischer.  Sheriff Fischer was a graduate of Clark State’s (then Clark Technical College) Police Academy and was a model of professionalism, empathy, humility, and hard work for our students and employees alike.  His counsel and feedback on our Police Academy and Criminal Justice programs were invaluable, and it is difficult to imagine the region absent his leadership, vision, and kindness.  Sheriff Fischer will be missed greatly, and, in his honor, Clark State will name one of our Police Academy classrooms in order to recognize his contributions to his beloved profession.
