Comedy Legend The Second City Return to Springfield with New Show

October 24, 2023

The Second City, the world’s most influential name in comedy, is thrilled to return to the Clark State Performing Arts Center with their newest revue, "Comedian Rhapsody” at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, November 16.

Is this real life? Is this just fantasy? This comedic landslide promises to be an escape from reality! Comedian Rhapsody is a ground-breaking showcase of classic sketches and songs from the company's deep comedy archive, fresh new favorites, as well as the signature hilarious improv that The Second City is famous for.

This innovative and interactive performance, brought to life by the best of The Second City, is a celebration of the comedic genius that has graced our stages for over six decades. With alumni such as Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, and Keegan-Michael Key, The Second City has an unmatched track record of launching the careers of comedy superstars.

“As the nights get colder and longer, an evening of great comedy and laughter will definitely light and warm up your day,” said Dan Hunt, general manager of the Clark State PAC. “Comedian Rhapsody: the Best of Second City rolls into the Kuss Auditorium with a troupe of great performers, and maybe even the next rising star of comedy. Come see why Second City has been the first name in comedy for over 60 years.”

Tickets for 'Comedian Rhapsody' are available for purchase at etix.com or by calling 937.328.3874. Ticket prices range from $25 to $35 (plus fees). The Second City performance may contain Adult or Mature Content.
