Local high school students and adult learners considering college are invited to explore their future during Clark State College’s Preview Day on Feb. 16, an interactive event designed to help prospective students and their families learn about academic programs, campus life and career pathways close to home.
The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Clark State Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center, 275 S. Limestone St. Prospective students may attend with up to three guests.
Preview Day allows attendees to build their own experience by selecting sessions that match their interests. Guests can learn about admissions, financial aid, scholarships, athletics, student organizations and support services while also connecting with faculty, staff and current students.
“Preview Day gives students and families the chance to explore exciting opportunities available at Clark State and see how college can fit into their future plans,” said Erin Willoughby, director of admissions and career services. “Participants can choose sessions that matter most to them and obtain answers about programs, financial aid and enrollment steps.”
An academic information session will highlight programs that lead directly to careers including areas such as nursing and health sciences, cyber security, advanced manufacturing, business, social work, performing arts, information technology, engineering technologies and many other in-demand fields.
Following the morning sessions, attendees will enjoy a free lunch and optional campus tours will be offered at Clark State’s main campus at 570 E. Leffel Lane, providing attendees the opportunity to see classrooms, labs and student spaces, such as the library, athletic training facility and dining area.
Clark State continues to be recognized as one of the most affordable college options in Ohio, helping students begin or continue their education with lower tuition costs while providing access to millions of dollars in scholarships, grants and financial aid opportunities. Students also benefit from flexible course options, including day, evening, weekend, in-person and online classes; modern learning facilities; and support services such as tutoring, counseling, success coaching and basic-needs resources.
“We look forward to showing students what’s possible right here in our community,” Willoughby said. “Clark State provides an affordable pathway to degrees and credentials that prepare students for careers or continuing their education at a four-year college or university.”
Students and families are encouraged to RSVP and select their preferred sessions and tours at go.clarkstate.edu/preview-day-p.
