Clark State College invites the community to celebrate the opening of its newly renovated building at the Clark State Bellefontaine location on the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center campus, 2280 St. Rt. 540 in Bellefontaine. The Open House will take place from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 with a brief presentation beginning at 6:15 p.m., followed by tours of the facility.
The renovation marks another milestone in the long-standing partnership between Clark State College and Ohio Hi-Point, strengthening educational pathways for high school students, adult learners and career-minded professionals in Logan County and surrounding communities.
“This new Student Services space highlights the collaboration and partnership of Hi-Point and Clark State in developing training for workforce needs and serving our community,” said Natalie Johnson, Clark State assistant dean for regional locations. “It includes additional classroom space, a testing area, meeting rooms and a dedicated office for full-time staff support. This new space really speaks to how we work together to provide members of our community with services, career training and educational opportunities they want.”
The new building was designed and renovated with the help of Ohio Hi-Point students, who participated in the demolition and remodeling process—an example of hands-on learning that directly benefits the region.
The Clark State Bellefontaine location also features a state-of-the-art diesel technology lab for classes in hydraulics, engines, maintenance and electronics. Bellefontaine is also host to programs in engineering technology, manufacturing, computer numerical control, practical nursing and more.
Ohio Hi-Point serves high school juniors and seniors from a five-county region, providing a natural pipeline to Clark State’s advanced career programs. In spring 2025, nearly 100 students were enrolled in Clark State classes at the Ohio Hi-Point campus.
Clark State and Ohio Hi-Point also partner on annual Workforce Summits, bringing together businesses, educators and community leaders to identify workforce needs and create training solutions tailored to Logan County.
“Because we are small and can be so responsive, Clark State really excels at communicating with businesses and organizations within the communities we serve,” Johnson said. “This new space allows us to better support students and employers alike.”
The Open House will feature remarks from Clark State leadership, comments from OHP construction students and tours of the renovated facility. Community members, prospective students, alumni and business partners are encouraged to attend and see firsthand how Clark State is expanding educational and career-focused opportunities in Logan County.
