FAFSA Results/Student Aid Report (SAR)

Your Student Aid Report (SAR)
The information you report on the FAFSA is processed by the U.S. Department of Education and a Student Aid Report (SAR) is sent to the e-mail account you provided on the FAFSA. This information is also sent to the schools you listed on the FAFSA. It is important that you review the SAR; check for errors and read all comments. The SAR will include an estimate of financial need. With a few exceptions, all financial aid awarded is based on demonstrated financial need. By filing the FAFSA, you will be considered for all aid for which you might be eligible including federal grants and loans. The Financial Aid Office receives your SAR information electronically; you do not have to send your SAR to the Financial Aid office.

How the Financial Aid Office Uses Your SAR
The Financial Aid Office uses the information on your SAR to determine eligibility. Additional paperwork may be required in order to process your financial aid. If you are selected in a process called verification, the school will request a copy of your federal tax transcript, documentation of untaxed income and/or confirmation of high school completion. You will also be required to submit a Verification Worksheet. Clark State will notify you of any required paperwork through email updates to your Clark State email.
