Military Spouses receive up to $4,000 for Career Training

Spouses of active-duty service members can receive up to $4,000 to jumpstart or advance your career.  The My Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship program helps eligible military spouses pursue the training and nationally recognized certifications needed to secure in-demand, portable jobs in healthcare, business, information technology, and more.

Clark State offers many MyCAA-approved courses to help you gain the credentials to work remotely or from most cities. Train 100% online, on your own schedule, and from anywhere.

How to Get Started

1. Determine your eligibility and create a MyCAA account at  MyCAA Portal

  • You must be the spouse of an Active Duty, Guard, or Reserve member on Title 10 orders within the pay grades of E-1 to E-5, W-1 to W-2, and O-1 to O-2.
  • You must have completed high school or obtained a GED

2. Choose your career path.
Explore our online training courses that will prepare you for an in-demand, portable career and is eligible for MyCAA funding. Below, we have listed the popular courses, however for a full list of eligible courses proceed to step 3.

What is the MyCAA Scholarship?

The My Career Advancement Account, or MyCAA Scholarship program, is a part of the Department of Defense Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) program, designed to help military spouses with career development and employment assistance.

What other benefits does MyCAA offer?

As a military spouse, you have access to a certified Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) coach to assist with career readiness, including résumé development, job search techniques, interviewing skills, and relocation planning, as well as career connections to help you land a job.

What is an Education and Training Plan?

When you apply for the MyCAA Scholarship, you will need to upload an Education and Training Plan. We will work with you to create your custom training plan based on your career goals and interests. Please contact us to get started and to learn more about the career opportunities available.
