Clark State Community College welcomes its fifth president as Jo Alice Blondin, Ph.D., assumes her new position. The College’s former president, Dr. Karen E. Rafinski, served her last day on June 28, 2013, after 16 years in the role.

Clark State Awards Scholarships

Clark State Community College has awarded the George Mueller College Tech Prep Scholarship to 27 local seniors. This $1,200 per year scholarship is awarded to high school and career center students in Clark, Champaign, Greene and Logan counties who earn a 2.5 GPA in their junior and senior year.

Springfield Township Donates Fire Truck

Clark State Community College’s fire training program students will have a new fire engine to enhance their education thanks to the generosity of the Springfield Township Fire Department. In exchange for the donation, the fire department will receive 15 scholarships for department members to continue their education.

Clark State Graduates 617 Students

Clark State Community College held its 2012 graduation ceremonies on Saturday, June 9, at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at the Clark State Performing Arts Center in downtown Springfield. Four hundred and forty-eight students participated in the graduation ceremony. Another 169 students completed their degrees and certificate programs throughout the year.
