Clark State Eagles Fly into Carleton Davidson Stadium Friday Night

April 30, 2015

The Clark State Eagles men’s baseball team will take the field at Carleton Davidson Stadium, 1101 Mitchell Boulevard, at 7 p.m. Friday, May 1.

“We have played there before, but it’s not our usual home field,” said Ken Laake, Clark State athletic and student life director. “Our usual home is the annex, which is the field next to the stadium.”

This will be the first night game the Eagles have played at Carleton Davidson Stadium. “We wanted to include a number of special activities during this one to help build our fan base and have the kids play in a nice stadium before the season is over,” said Laake.

The evening will be filled with activities including the Passing of the Gavel from this year’s Clark State Student Senate to the newly elected Student Senate members. The first 100 fans will receive a rally towel, and prior to the game, several baseball recruits will sign their letters of intent to play at Clark State.

“It’s a great atmosphere for our guys to play in, especially being a night game,” said Cliff Foght, Eagles head baseball coach. “I just know the players would love to play in an environment like that every day.”

Clark State also recently launched a new sports website where fans can view schedules, purchase gear and learn more about Eagles athletics. Potential players can also complete recruiting questionnaires. For more Eagles sports information visit: ClarkStateEagles.com or follow them on Twitter at @CSCCAthletics.
