Even with the closure of all campus locations due to the stay-at-home directive from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Clark State Community College continues to register students for summer semester. Clark State moved all classes to online or alternative formats for the remainder of the spring semester in order to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Students are able to enroll in the college and register for classes online via the Clark State website and MyClarkState student portal; summer A and C terms begin May 26.

"I know students have a lot to think about right now, and we want them to know we are thinking of their safety,” said Dr. Theresa Felder, senior vice president of student success at Clark State. “Students can enroll completely online--including orientation and advising. All student services staff are available remotely to help students register for our high-quality online courses and to support their success in the courses.”

Clark State is prepared and able to maintain a distance-learning environment and opportunity for all students, including those in the health programs such as the RN and LPN programs which require clinical experiences. “We're minimizing physical contact by adding additional online courses, so students can take courses from the comfort of their own homes,” said Felder.

Clark State President Dr. Jo Alice Blondin asks students and prospective students to continue the enrollment and registration process as usual. She said these are critical times for students, and Clark State will continue to be diligent in ensuring and supporting student success during this unprecedented time.

“Education has never been more important,” said Blondin. “Continuing your education and progress toward your degree is critical to future success.”
