July 9, 2014

Clark State Community College has partnered with the Greene County Career Center (GCCC) to offer welding and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) at the career center’s Xenia location (2960 West Enon Road).

“Clark State continues to look for opportunities to expand our program offerings to the Greene County community,” said Theresa Felder, vice president of student affairs and Greene Center operations. “Local employers are looking for well-rounded, skilled workers who have completed training programs through Clark State.”

“We are blessed to be partnering with Clark State as they beginning offering adult workforce education classes on our campus,” said Dan Schroer, superintendent, Greene County Career Center. “This partnership ensures that adults seeking training in the region will continue to receive quality instruction in a great facility and at an affordable tuition rate. “

The college will offer both an associate’s degree and one-year certificate option for HVAC-R. There are two welding courses being offered: Basic ARC/MIG/TIG and Aerospace Welding. All of the programs begin in August.
