Clark State Holds 31st Annual Health Fair April 4

April 3, 2018

The Clark State Community College 31st annual Health Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 4 in the LRC, Security National Bank Community Room 207-209 on Leffel Lane at the Springfield campus.

“We are excited to host over 45 agencies on campus to connect individuals with health and safety resources in the community. Through demonstrations, exhibits and display booths, community members can learn how to make lifestyle changes to enhance their health,” said Nina Wiley, dean of student engagement and support services at Clark State.

The Health Fair is free of charge and open to Clark State faculty, staff, students and the public. “We hope to engage the community in conversations about common health issues and concerns,” said Wiley.

Patrons can also take advantage of the Health Fair opportunity to see the Clark State campus, learn more about area resources and participate in numerous health screenings at little or no cost.

More than 45 agencies from Springfield and Dayton will be on-site to provide various health screenings, services and tests, including:

  • Mammograms
  • Vision screening
  • Hearing screening
  • Bone density screening
  • HIV testing
  • Blood pressures, heights and weights by Clark State’s Health Clinic
  • Neck and upper massages by Clark State’s Physical Therapist Assistant students

The Health Fair presents the opportunity to learn about health and social services resources available in the community and offers educational information on specific health topics.
