Clark State Joins the National Junior College Athletic Association

July 25, 2014

Clark State Community College is returning to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) after being a part of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for six years.

“Clark State will compete at the NJCAA Division II level and be able to offer athletic scholarships to eligible players,” said Ken Laake, Clark State’s new director of athletics and student life. “We intend to use these scholarships to attract students who are looking to be serious student athletes.”

The NJCAA is the national governing body for two-year college athletics. It is the nation’s second largest national intercollegiate sports organization, behind the NCAA.

Clark State sponsors intercollegiate athletics in the sports of Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Softball and Men’s Baseball.
