The Clark State Community College nursing and emergency medical services programs donated unused personal protective equipment (PPE) classroom supplies to Mercy Health - Springfield Regional Medical Center and Rocking Horse Center in Springfield.

Clark State classes have all been moved to online or alternate formats under the guidance of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine in order to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Clinical experiences – including RN, LPN, STNA and EMS labs - have all been suspended until further notice.

"We wanted to support our front-line health care providers during this crisis and realized the best way we could do so was to provide some of the PPE they need,” said Gwen Stevenson, director of nursing programs at Clark State. “They are the most at risk, and we are grateful for the work they are doing. Mercy Health has been a valued partner as we prepare students in the RN, LPN and STNA programs, and we want to give back in a time of need.”

Donated items include:
3 boxes of face masks (Rocking Horse Center)
7 cases plus 13 boxes of clean gloves
1 case of hand sanitizer
1 case of yellow isolation gowns
4 boxes face masks
150 pairs safety glasses
