Clark State Performing Arts Center Gala, Michael Bolton Concert Rescheduled for June 16

March 27, 2020

The Clark State Performing Arts Center Gala will be held on Tuesday, June 16 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center, 275 South Limestone Street in downtown Springfield. Doors open at 5 p.m. for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with dinner and the Arts of Springfield Hall of Honor award to follow at 6 p.m.

Singer and songwriter Michael Bolton will take the stage at 8 p.m. at the Clark State Performing Arts Center. He will present The Symphony Sessions with special guests, members of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra.

This date has been rescheduled from the original date of May 1. The Clark State Performing Arts Center is currently closed to all events through May 10 of this year to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Michael Bolton is a multiple Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and social activist who has sold more than 65 million records globally and continues to tour the world. Bolton remains committed to humanitarian causes, especially through the Michael Bolton Charities, now in its 25th year.

The Clark State Performing Arts Center will induct J. Chris Moore, director emeritus of the Springfield Arts Council, as the first inductee of the Arts of Springfield Hall of Honor at the annual Clark State Performing Arts Center Gala.

The Arts of Springfield Hall of Honor will annually induct an individual or organization which has demonstrated a significant and lasting contribution to the support of the performing arts in Springfield. This achievement may be through outstanding leadership, advocacy, philanthropy, innovation or curatorship of the arts in Springfield.

Tickets for the Michael Bolton performance with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra are available at ticketmaster.com. Tickets already purchased for this event will be honored on the newly rescheduled date of June 16 at the Performing Arts Center, 300 South Fountain Avenue, Springfield.

“Patrons can keep their tickets, as they will be valid to attend the new performance date,” said Adkins, executive director of the Clark State Performing Arts Center. “All seats will remain the same. If ticketholders would like to be refunded due to this rescheduling, they should contact the Box Office at 937.328.3874.”
