Clark State's College for Kids and Teens Summer Programming Canceled for 2020

April 14, 2020

Clark State Community College’s College for Kids and Teens summer programming has been canceled for 2020 due to concerns over the COVID-19 virus.

All Clark State campus locations have been closed since Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued a stay-at-home order on March 23. While faculty and staff look forward to returning to campus when deemed appropriate, it is out of an abundance of caution that the decision to cancel College for Kids and Teens was made.

“While we are disappointed to cancel these very popular programs, the health and safety of our students is our top priority,” said Toni Overholser, director of the Clark State Foundation. “We look forward to the time when we can gather together in an exciting learning environment again. Our plan is to offer a wide variety of courses at several locations next summer. We look forward to seeing our students at that time.”

College for Kids and Teens summer enrichment classes provide opportunities for students to explore new areas of interest, become exposed to college and stretch their imagination.

All courses and activities are conducted in a non-graded environment encouraging the student’s personal growth and development. The activities provide opportunities for students to explore new areas of interest, stretch their imagination or cultivate a skill.

Students who have already preregistered for courses, which were set to begin June 15, will be issued a refund.
