Clark State Community College will commemorate Veterans Day with various campus activities including the display of 2,000 United States flags on the Leffel Lane campus, the Greene Center campus in Beavercreek and the Bellefontaine campus.

On Tuesday, November 10 volunteers will read more than 5,100 names in a Remembrance Roll Call of U.S. lives lost during active duty service. “The men and women being honored are service members who claimed Ohio as their home,” said Nina Wiley, dean of enrollment services for Clark State. The Roll Call will begin at 9 a.m. in the Sara T. Landess Technology and Learning Center Rotunda near the Wall of Honor with an anticipated end time of 1:45 p.m.

Wiley said there are approximately 200 veteran students enrolled at Clark State and Veterans Day activities will honor the men and women who answered the call to duty. “The Remembrance Roll Call honors the service members who paid the ultimate price in Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Gulf War, Vietnam and Korea and who claimed Ohio as their home,” she said. “As a community we are coming together to recognize those who protected our country and way of life.”
