Clark State to Hold Pinning Ceremonies for 2018 Nursing Graduates

May 4, 2018

The Clark State Community College – Springfield Regional School of Nursing will hold pinning ceremonies for 122 graduating nurses who have completed their programs of study.

The pinning ceremony for the Practical Nursing students will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, May 10; 35 Practical Nursing students will be conferred at this ceremony. The pinning ceremony for Registered Nursing students will be held 6 p.m., Friday, May 11; 87 Registered Nursing students will be conferred at this ceremony.

Both ceremonies will be held at the Clark State Performing Arts Center in downtown Springfield.

“The pinning ceremony provides us with the opportunity to welcome our May 2018 graduates to the nursing profession, and we are very pleased to recognize this graduating class,” said Gwen Stevenson, director of nursing programs for Clark State. “They have worked incredibly hard to arrive at this milestone, and we honor them as they move from the role of student nurse to professional nurse. They are well-prepared to enter the nursing profession and provide care to those in our community and beyond.”

The Registered Nursing program can be completed at Clark State’s Springfield campus. Starting Fall Semester 2018, Clark State will offer the Registered Nursing program at its Beavercreek campus. The Practical Nursing program can be completed at Clark State’s Springfield campus as well as at the Bellefontaine campus at Ohio Hi-Point Career Center. Both nursing programs have daytime and evening/weekend enrollment options.
