Clark State to Host Health Fair for College and Community

April 1, 2019

Clark State Community College will host a spring health fair as part of its continued health and wellness initiative.

“As a community-minded institution, we are excited to host organized events on campus that increase access to health care,” said Nina Wiley, dean of student engagement and support services for Clark State. “Our annual Health Fair is an opportunity to reach broadly across our community.”

The annual Health Fair will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday, April 3 in the LRC Building, Room 207/209 at the Springfield campus on Leffel Lane. The event is free and open to the public.

Students, faculty, staff and the public will have the opportunity to connect with over 45 health and social service agencies from Springfield, Cincinnati and Dayton providing valuable information and screenings including:

• Vision screening
• Diabetes screening
• Neck and upper body massages
• Hearing screening
• Bone density screening
• Mammograms

Springfield’s state-of-the-art 3D Mobile Mammography will be on site. Schedule an appointment at 937.523.9332. The choice of 2D or the latest 3D imaging will be available. Clients should contact their insurance company regarding 3D coverage, as not all companies provide this service. There are several options for financial assistance. Walk-ins are welcome, but should allow for 45 minutes to complete registration, paperwork and imaging. Clients need to bring a photo ID and insurance card.
