Clark State, Union Institute & University Partner for Transfer Degree Options

Clark State Community College and Union Institute & University (UI&U) enters into an articulation agreement to offer additional transfer degree pathways for Clark State students.

“Clark State is excited to partner with the Union Institute & University,” said Amy Sues, dean of institutional effectiveness, planning, assessment, and accreditation at Clark State. “Union offers a variety of majors online making classes convenient to our students.”

UI&U is a private, non-profit university offering both undergraduate and graduate degree programs that are flexible and affordable. UI&U works closely with other education institutions to offer partnerships that will help you reach your educational goal to obtain your degree.

This partnership will allow Clark State students to transfer up to 90 semester hours from Clark State toward a bachelor's degree from Union Institute & University.

UI&U offers the following bachelor's degree programs online:

  • Business Management
  • Child and Adolescent Development
  • Criminal Justice Management
  • Early Childhood Studies
  • Elementary Education
  • Emergency Services Management
  • Exceptional Student Education
  • Maternal Child Health: Human Lactation
  • Organizational Leadership
  • Psychology
  • Secondary Education
  • Social Work

Clark State graduates who transfer into UI&U undergraduate program will receive a scholarship of $100 discount per credit hour for the first 30 credit hours of registration up to $3,000. Members of Phi Theta Kappa will receive an additional first semester $500 scholarship. UI&U offers all Title IV federal financial aid, State of Ohio grants for private university students as well as several university scholarships.

Articulation agreements build strong partnerships between community colleges like Clark State and four-year institutions of higher learning. This guarantees a simplified transfer process for students interested in the programs available.

Clark State and UI&U will sign the articulation agreement at 4 p.m., Monday, May 20 at Clark State in Beavercreek at 3775 Pentagon Boulevard.
