Clark State Welcomes Students with Fun Fair, Free Concert Featuring Alumnus Ryan Mundy

August 27, 2019

Clark State Community College will host a Welcome Back Fun Fair on Wednesday, August 28 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on the main campus in Springfield. Alumnus and up-and-coming country artist Ryan Mundy will perform from noon to 1 p.m.

Mundy is a 2013 graduate of Clark State with an associate degree in Business Management. Now managing his own country music career, Mundy has performed at venues in Nashville and Columbus. He recently opened up at Country Concert 2019 for Lonestar: a 9-time #1 hit single band, Thomas Rhett and Dustin Lynch.

Mundy began writing his own music which birthed the single titled "Life of a Single Man" released in February 2017. With support and interest from locals, the dream of being a country music artist slowly began to form. He continued to write songs daily and released his debut EP American Whiskey in June of 2017.

The Clark State Welcome Back Fun Fair is free of charge and will also feature a part-time student job fair, food, games, a bounce house for future Eagles, vendors and resources. The event will be held in front on Rhodes Hall beginning at 11 a.m.
