Clark State Workforce and Business Solutions to Offer Continuing Education Courses Online

March 20, 2020

Clark State Community College Workforce and Business Solutions will offer several online, virtual options for professional development and employee upskilling and training.

“In these unprecedented times, the Clark State Workforce and Business Solutions team is still here to assist,” said Lesli Beaver, director of Clark State’s Workforce and Business Solutions. “We are happy to present online and virtual classroom-based courses and hope that businesses will consider professional development and training a valuable option for them and their teams, as our daily work schedules look increasingly different.”

Clark State campuses moved to modified operations which use online or alternate formats for classes through the end of the spring semester on May 10. The modified operations were implemented in effort to help curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

“As we all move forward, the Clark State Workforce and Business Solutions team is here as a resource and partner, not only for training, but to help connect the workforce to whatever resources needed to continue to thrive,” said Beavers. “Also, courtesy of FASTLANE, we have scholarship funding available for our local manufacturers to send one employee, per manufacturer, to the online Fundamentals of Supervision and Management, completely free of charge to the manufacturer.”

Beavers said Clark State offers an online catalog of over 700 trainings including Customer Service (self-paced); Soft Skills Suite, which includes modules on Achieving Success with Difficult People, Interpersonal Communication, Skills for Making Great Decisions, and Individual Excellence; several modules on Microsoft Office, Excel, Office365 and other Microsoft applications; Project Management and a Presentation Skills Suite.
