Clark State Workforce and Business Solutions to Offer Free Webinars in Observance of Ohio’s In-Demand Jobs Week

April 27, 2020

In observance of Ohio’s In-Demand Jobs Week, Clark State Workforce and Business Solutions will offer a series of free webinars on May 5, 6 and 7.

Ohio In-Demand Jobs Week begins May 4 and is the statewide celebration of the jobs, industries and skills that are in-demand in Ohio. Community leaders statewide are encouraged to partner and plan engaging virtual events and activities that will inspire excitement and awareness among students and job seekers.

“We are excited to collaborate with so many of our great partners to provide this webinar series, especially during Ohio In-Demand Jobs Week,” said Lesli Beavers, director of Clark State’s Workforce and Business Solutions. “It is important that we all collaborate during this time and communicate all of the resources and best practices available so both businesses and adult learners are prepared as our workforce ecosystem recovers from COVID-19 disruption.”

The Ohio Department of Education defines in-demand jobs as those that pay a sustainable wage and offer a promising future based on the projected number of openings and growth. Ohio has in-demand jobs in more than 200 occupations across a wide range of industries.

“We have an opportunity, right now, to upskill and fill the pipeline demand that we know is coming as displaced workers find new career opportunities,” said Beavers.
