November 20, 2017

Clark State Community College will welcome Ryan Burgess, director of the Ohio Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, to the Springfield campus on Tuesday, November 21.

“We’re excited to see Clark State engaging partners to create career pathways for students that align with in-demand jobs and help meet the needs of local businesses,” said Burgess.

Burgess was appointed director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation by Governor John R. Kasich in 2015. Director Burgess joined the Ohio Development Services Agency after 20 years at Fifth Third Bank.

“We will share the forward progress Clark State is making in workforce education and development, and highlight our cutting edge Precision Agriculture and Manufacturing programs,” said Blondin. “We look forward to sharing with Director Burgess our applications to develop applied baccalaureate degrees in Manufacturing Technology Management and Addiction and Integrated Treatment.”

Burgess will meet with Clark State President Dr. Jo Alice Blondin beginning at 1 p.m. in the Sara T. Landess Technology and Learning Center Boardroom. The agenda also includes discussions on ISO 9001; Cybersecurity and Center of Excellence in Two-Year Education Designation from NSA/Homeland Security; Center for Precision Agriculture and MOU with Agriculture Consortium; and the Banking Recruitment Program.
