During the month of May, Project Jericho and Clark County Solid Waste District teamed up to bring awareness to the recycling center located at 1602 West Main Street. Colorado muralist Mariah Kaminsky worked with youth in our community to not only reclaim and restore a wall, but also create a light for a neighborhood and our entire community.

The community is invited to attend the celebration of the Catching Light Mural on Wednesday, May 24 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Clark County Solid Waste District, 1602 West Main Street. The event will start with a presentation at 5 p.m. and will have crafts for children and hotdogs from Mobile Dogs Cafe. 

The Clark County Solid Waste District will raffle a rain barrel painted by Project Jericho youth.  Raffle tickets will be available for $1 each or six for $5. The winner of the rain barrel will be announced on August 26, 2017, at the Monarch Festival.

Project Jericho is a program of Clark State Community College and supported by Clark County Department of Job and Family Services with additional funding provided by Clark County Solid Waste District, the Ohio Arts Council, the Ohio Department of Youth Services and the Turner Foundation. This specific project was made possible by grant funding from the Turner Foundation and Della Selsor Trust.
