Project Jericho has hope on the horizon as they prepare to begin a new mural on the bike path at the intersection of South Yellow Springs Street and Leffel Lane. In May, Project Jericho youth will start working with local artists and the mural’s designer Kelley Booze to create a mural that welcomes bicyclists into Springfield and connects them to the next stretch of the bike path. Booze is known for her urban landscape paintings that depict resiliency through images of growth in unexpected locations. The mural was a source of hope as Project Jericho, Bike Greater Springfield, and National Trail Parks and Recreation District collaborated on the project during some of the most isolating periods of the pandemic. This mural is being created to celebrate the resiliency of the Springfield community and convey anticipation for what lies ahead.

Project Jericho is a program of Clark State supported through funding from the Clark County Department of Job and Family Services, Clark County Juvenile Court, Ohio Arts Council, the Turner Foundation, Community Health Foundation, and private contributions.
