Registration Open for Clark State’s College for Kids and Teens, Additional Scholarships Available

April 4, 2019

Clark State Community College is currently accepting registrations for the 2019 College for Kids and Teens summer programming.

“We are striving to enrich the lives of children in the community with creative and fun opportunities offered through Clark State’s College for Kids and Teens,” said Toni Overholser, Clark State Foundation director. “Clark State is grateful to the United Way and other community partners for their assistance in offering full scholarships to more students and expanding this programming further.”

All courses and activities are conducted in a non-graded environment encouraging the student’s personal growth and development. The activities provide opportunities for students to explore new areas of interest, stretch their imagination or cultivate a skill.

Classes begin June 14 and conclude the week of July 15. Class options include: two options for pre-med camp, geospatial technology, catapult painting, sprout painting, pattern photography, sports science and dance, stories and art.

Clark State will award full scholarships to selected students to defray the cost of attending College for Kids and Teens. Scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis and will be available until all spots are filled.

Registration forms are available online at: http://bit.ly/2tF7EYC and can be submitted via email to collegeforkidsandteens@clarkstate.edu. Students may combine the morning and afternoon sessions to create an all-day option. Students who choose this option must bring a lunch from home.

Depending on the course and planned activities, classes range from $50-$70 per student. All classes are available on a first come, first served basis, and class sizes are limited.

Scholarship recipients will be notified within a week of the initial application submission. Scholarship applications can be completed online at: http://bit.ly/2tF7EYC.
