April 14, 2014

Clark State Community College received two scholarships in the amount of $4,100 each for the 2014-2015 academic year from Riverside Research, a not-for-profit company with facilities in Beavercreek, Ohio. The scholarships – both equal to one year's tuition – are reserved for students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines.

"Our academic heritage and 47-year commitment to STEM education and training aligns perfectly with the mission, vision and workforce development efforts of Clark State Community College," said Richard Annas, Riverside Research President. "We are honored to build upon our existing partnership with Clark State in developing a strong and sustainable workforce right here in the Miami Valley."

"Scholarships are always in great need," said Dr. Blondin. "On behalf of the faculty, staff and students of Clark State Community College, let me say a big thank you to Riverside Research."

Candidate Clark State STEM scholars must be US citizens of sophomore status with plans to pursue a bachelor's degree, a history of community involvement and a minimum 3.0 GPA maintained throughout the scholarship.
