Student Named Player of the Week

Clark State Community College student Trent Pugh has been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association's (USCAA) player of the week for men's baseball.

Pugh was the leading hitter for the Clark State Eagles and helped lead them to a 5-2 record this week. He recorded ten hits including three home runs which led to game winning RBIs in two of the games. Pugh had a total of five runs and 15 RBIs this week.

Pugh is studying early childhood education at Clark State. He is a 2010 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School.

"Trent's leadership skills and athletic accomplishments have been an asset to Eagles baseball," said Ronald Gordon, athletic director at Clark State. "Trent also excels in the classroom and leads by example wherever he goes."

The Eagles are 13-2 this season and are ranked fourth in the USCAA coaches' poll.
