Clark State Selected to Participate in Federal Work-Study Experiment

Clark State Community College has been selected for the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Experiment under the U.S. Department of Education’s Experimental Sites Initiative. The Department selected institutions to participate in the experiment based on a review of applications and information from our internal systems.

Clark State Welcomes Project Woman “One Love" to Campus to Raise Teen Dating Violence Awareness

Project Woman will present “One Love” – an Escalation film and discussion – on the Clark State campus on Leffel Lane in Springfield at 1 p.m., Tuesday, February 25. February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. The Escalation film and discussion at Clark State will help participants recognize warning signs of dating violence and how they can intervene; or ask for help if they are being victimized. The event at Clark State is free of charge and open to faculty, staff, students and the local community.

Choir of Man Returns to Clark State Performing Arts Center for Another Feel Good Show

Dubbed across the globe as the “Ultimate Feel Good Show,” Clark State Community College will welcome the Choir of Man to the stage of the Clark State Performing Arts Center for the second consecutive year. Tickets to see the Choir of Man range in price from $25 to $50 and are available on ticketmaster.com. The show begins at 8 p.m., Saturday, February 29 at the Clark State Performing Arts Center in downtown Springfield.

Clark State President Blondin to Receive Phi Theta Kappa Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction

Clark State Community College President Dr. Jo Alice Blondin has been selected by the Ohio Region of the international honor society Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) to receive the 2020 Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction. This award is given to college presidents who have shown strong support of student success on their campus by recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and service among high-achieving students at their colleges.

Clark State to Celebrate 54th Annual Charter Night with Honorary Stroll on Blue Carpet

Clark State Community College will celebrate its 58th annual Charter Night on Tuesday, February 18 at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center in downtown Springfield. Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and the program at 6:15 p.m. Charter Night serves to remind the college and community about the founding of Clark State, celebrated through the establishment of the charter to operate as a post-secondary institution in the region.

National Court Reporting & Captioning Week kicks off for Clark State Community College and joint program partner Stark State College as well as nationally on February 8. Clark State and Stark State have offered the joint National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) approved Judicial Court Reporting (JCR) online degree program since June of 2016.
