The Time Jumpers to Play Clark State Performing Arts Center April 30

Multi Grammy-nominated group The Time Jumpers, featuring country music star Vince Gill, will make their debut at the Clark State Performing Arts Center on Sunday, April 30. The Time Jumpers includes 10 members, each a master of his instrument. The Time Jumpers was established in Nashville in 1998 by an assemblage of high-dollar studio musicians who wanted to spend some spare time jamming with their sonically gifted buddies.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon to Recognize Youth Peace Makers, Businesses

Clark State Community College and the City of Springfield will host the 27th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Luncheon on Friday, January 13 at 11:30 a.m. in the Grand Hall of the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center, 275 South Limestone Street. Students from 12 local schools will be recognized as Peace Makers for their abilities to resolve conflict and emerge as leaders.

Clark State Announces Fall Semester 2016 Dean’s List

Clark State Community College has announced the names of students for the 2016 Fall Semester Dean's List. Two hundred thirty-five (235) full-time students (those taking 12 or more credit hours) and six hundred forty-two (642) part-time students (those taking 6-11 credit hours) earned a 3.5 grade point average or better to receive dean's list honors.

Clark State Police Academy Holds January Graduation Ceremony

Clark State Community College will hold a graduation ceremony for cadets of the Peace Officer Training Academy at 6 p.m. on January 10 in the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center, 275 South Limestone Street. The graduates represent the first class of cadets to complete their training in the new facility located in the Brinkman Educational Center in downtown Springfield.

Clark State Partners With Dayton STEM-Workforce Program to Offer Scholarships

Clark State Community College has joined forces with the Dayton STEM-Workforce Program to provide scholarship and career opportunities to students. Students in manufacturing, computer IT, health and medical programs can apply for scholarships and will also have the opportunity to begin to work with industry partners in co-op and internship opportunities through the Dayton STEM-Workforce Program.

Clark State Community College is recruiting middle school and high school students from Madison, Clark, Champaign, Logan, Miami, Montgomery and Greene counties for the Johns Hopkins University Engineering Innovation and Phone & Games programs to be held in the summer of 2017. The programs are offered at no charge to students.

Clark State to Pin More Than 70 New Nursing School Graduates

The Clark State Community College – Springfield Regional School of Nursing will hold pinning ceremonies for more than 70 graduating nurses who have completed their programs of study at the conclusion of fall semester. The pinning ceremony for registered nursing students will be held December 7 and the pinning ceremony for the practical nursing students will be held December 8.

Clark State Will Host College Credit Plus Informational Session

Clark State Community College will host a College Credit Plus (CCP) informational event for local high schools and students on Tuesday, December 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts and Conference Center in downtown Springfield. The College Credit Plus program allows students to earn college credits while in high school, all at no cost. This state-funded program covers tuition, books and fees.
